STF Turkey Day Contest

The_Ultimate_Leftover_Turkey_Sandwich.jpgBeing able to stretch out on the couch and watch holiday tournaments while eating an everything-leftover sandwich is one of the true joys of the Thanksgiving holiday. We thought we'd add a little interest to the proceedings by offering a contest to you, the already-hoops-obsessed crazy loner.

We've been offered a prize to give away by everygameroom.com, who offer all kinds of sports stuff, including game tables, darts, and fancy-schmancy NFL gear. Sadly, we're a little small-time to be giving away a pool table, but we can offer the DI basketball-themed duffel bag of your choice. The winner gets to pick from the bags pictured in the link. If they don't have your team, maybe you can find an early Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa gift for someone on your list. But they have quite a few mid-major options, including the likes of Northern Iowa, Georgia Southern, and Old Dominion.

All you have to do to enter is look at the brackets for the 76 Classic in Anaheim and the Old Spice Classic in Orlando, and tell us who will win each. For a tiebreaker, tell us how many points your two champions will score in their respective title games. Your entry should look something like this:

76: Long Beach State (65), Old Spice: Iona (44)

Or, you know, something that might actually happen.

Send your entries to stormingthefloor at gmail dot com before the tryptophan kicks in (basically, we'll cut off the entries when the games start on November 26th) and we'll reveal the winner once we've settled with the insurance company over the unfortunate fried turkey/garage fire incident that is surely in our future. Or November 30th, whichever comes first.

You made some good points there. I did a search on the topic and found most people will agree with your blog.

It appears that you have placed a lot of effort into your article and I require more of these on the net these days. I sincerely got a kick out of your post. I don't really have much to say in response, I only wanted to comment to reply wonderful work.

I looked for the UVa and Texas ones and MY EYESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
