I Love the Smell of Basketball in the Morning

Up-All-Night-Breakfast-PV-t.jpgWith the arrival of November, everyone's starting to think seriously about hoops season, so we have bits of news to relate:

Storming the Floor will be covering ESPN's 24-hour hoopathon with CoveritLive chat windows. Bring your best new basketball memes and we'll see you bright and early.

Essay Season has begun at The Mid-Majority. It's one of my favorite times of the year, because we get some of Kyle's (and now Damon's) classic insight, and because it means basketball season is getting in gear for realz.

My appeal to the people of South Dakota paid off. We have now had one official visitor from the state of Jackrabbits and Coyotes, so the rest of the season is just icing on the cake.

We have a new entry at Storming the Floor University: All-McDonalds Americans.

You'll see a couple of familiar bylines around here this season. In addition to Seth and Jacob, who helped out immensely last season, original season 1 STFers UKChris and Tooch will sling some science again this season. We may yet lure back a couple of the other original cast members to help create the genial chaos you've come to love and expect.

That's it for now. We'll be unveiling our #10 team preview later on, along with whatever our talented group of writers pulls out of their bums today.

Butler Way: The Best of Bulter Basketball - Cardinal Publishers Group
An excellent look at how a tiny school in Indianapolis has built a top-25 program. The Butler Way is the code by which they live, articulated inside the pages by Hall of Fame coach Tony Hinkle and other luminaries of the game.

If you're not a member of Basketball State, you're missing out. We can rectify that problem you're having. Just head over to BB State and join up, using the special code for STF readers: bigant. It's good for two bucks off the cover price, and in this economy, you're going to need it. It's good all season long, so you have no excuse. Don't make us sic Guillermo on you.
