(Understatement of the year: This result does not bode well for the UCI Anteaters' trip to #3 Texas on Sunday.)
UC-Irvine is not the cream of the NCAA crop, having finished 12-19 last year and picked next-to-last in the Big West. Still, we can assume that as a D1 school the Anteaters have more talent than future Concordia opponents Claremont-Mudd, Bates, and Azuza Pacific.
Concordia led despite not having a player record double-figures in points -- Aussie Cameron Gliddon (pictured) led them with nine points. All ten Eagles who played scored at least two points.
UC-Irvine battled back from a double-digit deficit in the second-half, pulling to within one point with 2:53 left. They had a last-second shot from halfcourt for the win, but it hit backboard and bounced away.
The Anteaters, who were fourth in the NCAA in three-point shooting last year at 40.7%, were 0-4 from three in this game.

Nice faux-hawk on the Aussie.
